The Grand Hôtel du Lion d'Or
was built by a friend of the King
François 1er, called
Jean Gitton, seigneur de Montgiron,
by the end of the 16th century.
This "hôtel particulier Renaissance"
 was the home of the 1st city maires.



Recently restored
in a contemporary style,
this charming place is blending
in a real harmony walls of mirrors,
wood panelling from the 17th century,
gallo-roman flag-stones
and Second Empire balconies.
